I Got Tired of Living With Ulcer Pain — So My Grandmother Taught Me Something I’ll Never Forget
By Adeola | 14 March 2025 | 7 min read
If you are secretly living with the sharp, gnawing pain of an ulcer — the kind that makes you afraid of your own hunger — read every word on this page.
Maybe you know the feeling already.
You wake up hungry. Genuinely hungry. But you can’t just eat. You have to think first. Will this hurt? How long will the pain last this time? Do I even have the energy to deal with it today?
You watch other people eat freely. Spicy food. Late dinners. Coffee on an empty stomach. Things you used to do without thinking.
Now every meal is a calculation.
You’ve probably been to the doctor. Maybe more than once. Maybe you’re on medication right now. And maybe it helps a little — but the pain always seems to find its way back.
It’s exhausting. Not just physically. The constant vigilance around food wears on you in ways that are hard to explain to people who’ve never lived with it.
I know. Because I carried it too.
* * *
My Name Is Adeola
I’m not a doctor. I’m not a nutritionist. I’m just a woman who spent a long time fighting a battle with my own stomach.
For a long time, I felt like I was constantly at war with it. I went through countless doctor visits and prescriptions, hoping that something would finally give me lasting relief.
What frustrated me the most was that there were days when I would feel genuinely hungry, yet the pain and discomfort made it difficult to eat normally.
It was incredibly frustrating.
While other people were going about their daily lives, eating freely and enjoying themselves, I had to think twice about what I could eat and when I could eat it. There were moments when I would sit alone and wonder, “What did I do to deserve this?”
The Christmas Eve That Changed Everything
Then, on Christmas Eve, something happened that I will never forget.
I met my grandmother, and she shared with me a traditional remedy she had learned and used over the years. She patiently taught me how to prepare it, and I decided to give it a try.
After taking it for a few weeks, I began to feel a difference in how I experienced my stomach discomfort. Gradually, I started feeling more comfortable with food and began getting back to some of the simple things I had been missing.
For me, it felt like finally getting a breath of fresh air after a very difficult season.
Sadly, my grandmother has passed away. But I will always be grateful for the knowledge she shared with me that Christmas Eve.
May her beautiful soul rest in peace.
This story is my personal experience and is not intended to replace professional medical advice or prescribed treatment. If you’re experiencing severe symptoms — vomiting blood, black or tarry stools, unexplained weight loss, or severe pain — please see a doctor promptly.
Why I Put This Into a Guide
Over time, I found myself explaining this remedy to friends, then friends of friends, over and over again — the same questions, the same steps, the same details I kept repeating from memory.
Eventually I decided to write it all down properly — in plain language, with clear steps, so I wouldn’t have to explain it one conversation at a time.
That became Ancient for Ulcer: A 7-Day Traditional Stomach Reset.
What’s Inside the Guide
- The full 7-day routine — laid out day by day, so you know exactly what to do and when. (Pg. 3)
- What to prepare and how — step-by-step, in plain language. (Pg. 5)
- Foods to avoid during the reset — and why they matter more than people realise. (Pg. 8)
- The most common mistake people make that slows their progress. (Pg. 10)
- A simple daily habit to support your stomach beyond the 7 days. (Pg. 11)
- When to see a doctor — signs that need medical attention, not home remedies. (Pg. 12)
This guide reflects a personal, traditional practice. It is not a medical treatment and is not a substitute for diagnosis or care from a qualified healthcare provider.

If you’ve read this far, you already know what it’s like to carry this quietly. I’m not going to pretend a PDF fixes everything. But if my grandmother’s remedy gave me back something as simple as eating without fear, I wanted it written down somewhere it could reach more than just the people I happen to talk to.
